Hi, I saw you on the NALA website. Im wondering what you would do in the case of premade fans As in, if a company wanted them in the box? I am having great difficulty with this as I feel they will diminish the “art” in lashing along with other aspects within the industry. They are also prohibited in competitions. More clear, since you are an advisor with NALA, does this ensure that you would allow only those companies who adhere to competition grade materials, or would you allow any premade fan supplier to participate?

      Hi Kimberley,
Thanks for your comment! I completely understand the mixed feelings you have with pre-made fans, as I’m in the same boat. Although I don’t personally use them, it is in my opinion that a good quality pre-made fan IN THE RIGHT HANDS does not cause damage to the lashes. The challenge we are seeing is lash artists who are untrained in selecting safe weights using pre-made fans as a quick alternative to classic and overloading the natural lashes. I feel like this could be eliminated with the proper training on volume weights.

I haven’t had any vendors asking to include pre-made fans in the BeautyPro Box yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until someone does. At this point in time, I’m unsure whether I’d allow it or not. I think it will depend on several factors, including the vendor, quality of lashes, etc.

I hope that answers your question, and if you have more, please do not hesitate to send us an email listed on our Contact Page!
